International Shipping to the United States: What You Need to Know!
We often receive questions about delivery times, such as, "When will I receive my order?"
We offer a basic shipping service to the United States, with an estimated delivery time of 4 to 9 business days, which holds for approximately 90% of our orders.
However, it's important to note that these are estimates, and actual delivery times may vary due to factors beyond our control.
Initial Stages
First part of the journey
- Label Creation: Once we create a shipping label, the order receives its first tracking status from PostNL: "Shipment is expected, but not yet in the sorting process."
- Collection and Sorting: Within 24 hours, PostNL collects your order at our production plant. The tracking status updates to "Shipment is at PostNL" and later to "Shipment sorted" at the local sorting facility.
- International Dispatch: The final scan in the Netherlands occurs at the PostNL international distribution center at Schiphol airport, signaling that your package is on its way to the U.S. Final status in the Netherlands "Your parcel has crossed the border" or "Sent to the country of destination."

Arrival in the USA
and U.S. Customs
- Tracking Confusion: The tracking might seem confusing Upon arrival in the U.S.. While PostNL shows "Sent to the country of destination," USPS may display "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment."
- Customs Inspection: Due to homeland security regulations, U.S. customs play a significant role at this stage.
They do not disclose any details about the package's location or progress and can hold any shipment for inspection without prior notification.
This phase usually takes 2 to 5 business days, although it can extend up to 30 business days during peak periods.
The non-disclosure by U.S. customs means that neither of the tracking systems (PostNL and USPS) will be updated during this time, and the status may only change once customs clearance is complete.
Domestic Delivery
by USPS
- Release and Processing: Once cleared, U.S. customs hands over the package to USPS, which then processes it at the arrival facility.
The tracking updates to "Processed Through Facility ISC [city name] (USPS)," followed by "Inbound Into Customs" and "Inbound Out of Customs." - USPS Delivery: Now in the hands of USPS, the package will move towards delivery, and you can follow this progress through USPS Tracking.
USPS provides text and email update options, and you can schedule a delivery appointment.
Please Note: Delivery times can be longer than expected, especially during busy periods like holidays, Valentine's Day, or Mother's Day, when customs has a high volume of packages to process.
